The advent of Anime is slowing growing more and more on television all across the country. Last night I was channel surfing and I stumbled upon anime on the Sci-fi Channel. This came to my by surprise! I watched the anime and discovered that Sci-fi channel was showing two good series. The series that I happened to watch were Noein and Tokko. Both of these anime were very interesting and enjoyable. I had already seen Noein subbed but it was good to get a chance to see what the dubbed was like. The series Tokko was very bloody but interesting.

I really enjoyed what Sci-fi channel created during the commercials. They took clips of the anime and created a hilarious spoof of the anime. My favorite was the “Jedi mind move” which showed the main character of Tokko saying that if he concentrate hard enough he would move “them” when his mind. Then his sister appeared and she picked up her breasts and said they move. I was shocked and laughing at what they did.

In my investigation to find more anime I discovered that there are several series that are showing on other channels other than Sci-fi and Cartoon Network. These shows include but are not limited to 10 Tokyo Warriors, Saiyuki Reload, Idaten Jump, Mirage of Blaze: Rebels of the River Edge, Gokusen, Special Duty Combat Unit, Samurai 7 and many more. In addition to series there are several anime movies being showed on television such as Macross Plus, The Weathering Continent, Akira, Howl’s Moving Castle, and more.

In addition to channel surfing depending on if you use cable or satellite you may be able to watch FUNimation’s program block which is on channel #9407 on Dish Network COLOURS channel. Also, if you are a Dish 625 DVR customer with Dish Network you are able to watch Anime Network’s Video on Demand.
