History
Animation Exclamation was founded on February 16th, 2004 by Amanda and Joey Tripp. The first business meeting was held at the Tripp Family’s living room with a couple of friends. Soon the organization began to attract more and more people. With the new members and more on the way, the organization then began a search for a name and identity. There were a lot of names suggested but everyone agreed the name of this organization should be called Animation Exclamation, which was suggested by Diana Sylvester.
The small living room began to become cramped and the quest was on for a new and roomy home. The members asked around for the longest time then finally our savior Ocmulgee EMC donated space for AnEx to meet.
With the new space AnEx had to downgrade from a 32” TV screen to a 17” TV screen. Suffering from headaches and eye trouble, the members decided that the time had come for an official purchase of a projector. AnEx members raised funds and finally earned enough to buy the projector of our dreams. AnEx, also, launched its very first website on Ron Daniels` server. After a while AnEx saved up enough funds to purchase its own server space and domain name An-Ex.com.
Animation Exclamation became an officially recognized organization on Feb. 11, 2006 with the ratification of the constitution. A copy of the constitution can be found here.
Now Animation Exclamation has grown to a multi-chapter organization with one chapter in Rochester, NY. It is amazing what a little work and a lot of effort can do to make something like this come together. If you have any questions or want to know more about AnEx visit the Information page.
